The Seven Wonders: The Statue of Zeus at Olympia

Been a busy few months, but I'm hopeful to be much more productive in the future - at the very least, I've managed to smooth out my daily schedule to give me enough time to actually work on things during the day.

Or procrastinate. Procrastination sounds pretty good, actually.

Behold divinity given flesh:
I am a God, for glory meant.
You who scurry around my feet:
Tiny little men, behold a giant.

Fitted ivory forms my skin;
Golden cloth covers my glory.
In my massive hands I bear
Bird of prey and Lady Victory.

Think you my house is large?
If I stand, the roof shall break.
I laugh at the death of emperors
And make great generals quake.

They tell you that I died in fire.
Know you so little of sacrifice?
Smoke brings gifts unto the Gods—
I do not die, but homeward rise.
