Prayers to the Roman Gods: Juno

Juno, protector of women!  I felt rather weird writing this one - I'm hardly in her domain, am I?  Still, I do hope it came out well.




Juno, the Gods' mistress,
Of women the patroness,
Keep my virtue
Safe from force undue.
Keep my bedchambers
Safe from all traitors.
Keep my years
Safe from pain and fears.
Oh Juno, my protector,
I shall be grateful to you forever.

Juno, Regina Deae,
Matrona feminarum,
Honos meus praeside
Ab vire barbara securus.
Cubile meum praeside
Ab proditione securum.
Anni mei praeside
Ab miseria securi.
O Juno, genius femininus,
Te semper dilaudavero.
